There are a few events that photographers in Singapore can look forward to every year, and the annual Chingay Parade is one of them! The extravaganza of vibrant floats, dancing dragon, stilt walkers, dazzling costumes, and performers from our multi-cultural nation makes it a joy to photograph. We’re always excited to capture the sights and sounds of the exciting street parade as it makes it way across the city!

Chingay Parade 2018 is particularly close to our hearts, as it’s the first time Canon Singapore is participating in the iconic event! The team worked hard to design the costumes, learned the dance moves, and attended several rehearsals before the shows on 23 and 24 February 2018.

Two EOS World photographers, Lemjay Lucas and Calvin Teo had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the performers, and snapped pretty stunning shots! Here are some of our favourites.
