We are delighted to announce the winner of our Capture The Details Photo Contest!

In this contest, we invited photography enthusiasts to show their extreme close-up shots of insects, or fascinating patterns of organic and still life on objects, in our search of an amazing photograph that demonstrates the beauty of macro photography!

Out of many entries we received, our judge finds the following image to be our deserving winner:

“Winged Beauty” by Kevin Fan

“The butterfly’s details came out better. The angle was composed from a perspective that was rather common, but enough to make people stop and stare.

The use of flash was well-controlled, showing off details on a black butterfly, instead of overwhelming the colours. It’s sharp, well-captured, and without much motion blur – signs of the use of a tripod, or having really steady hands.”

Our winner will receive a Canon RS-80N3 Remote Switch, which is great for composing close-up shots and time exposures!

Congratulations and thanks to all who participated in this contest!

For the winner, the details on prize collection will be sent via email.
